IPS officer GP Singh has got a big relief from the High Court. A bench of Chhattisgarh Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Aggarwal quashed all the three FIRs registered against him.
The court says that an attempt has been made to harass him by registering false cases. FIRs were registered in the Congress' Baghel government in cases of disproportionate assets, treason and blackmailing.
Let us tell you that this IPS of 94 batch had to go to jail in the Baghel government and was also dismissed from the job. In 2021, the ACB raided several places including his official residence against GP Singh, in which it was claimed to recover undeclared assets worth crores and many sensitive documents.
A case of treason was also registered against GP Singh on charges of conspiring to topple the government. Singh continued to fight this battle and now the cases registered against him have been quashed by the Chhattisgarh High Court!
