Sambhal Mosque Survey Clash: Violence Breaks Out During Survey at Sambhal's Jama Masjid on Court's Orders

On Sunday (November 24), during the second day of the survey at Jama Masjid in Sambhal, ordered by the court, violence erupted. Protestors opposing the mosque's survey clashed with the police and pelted stones at the officers. During the chaos, the mob also set fire to property, resulting in three deaths. In addition, 20 people, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and the Police Circle Officer, were injured. After the stone pelting, the police fired tear gas shells and used minimal force to disperse the crowd. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav stated that people were killed by police gunfire during the Sambhal violence. He accused the government of deliberately instigating violence to divert attention from other issues. He also mentioned that those responsible for the survey had cooperated fully.
