INDIA- SRILANKA ARMIES "MITRA SHAKTI" STRNGTHENS IN COUNTER TERRORISM PARTNERSHIP

The Indian Army on Friday stated that the joint military exercise “Mitra Shakti” has stimulated both Indian and Sri Lankan forces to build up their partnership in counter terrorism efforts providing a stage to exercise best performances and nurture strategical approaches. Mitra Shakti’s 10th edition began on 12th August at the Sri Lanka’s Army Training School at Maduru Oya. The practices will end on 25th August.

“The Indian Army and the Sri Lanka Army have demonstrated unparalleled expertise in successful counter-terrorism operations, a testament to their extensive experience and proficiency in managing complex security challenges. Through their participation in the Joint Exercise Mitra Shakti, both armies have leveraged their respective knowledge and strategies to enhance mutual understanding and operational effectiveness” stated Indian Army. “This joint exercise has provided a platform for sharing best practices, refining tactical approaches, and strengthening collaborative efforts against terrorism. By integrating their skills and experiences, the Indian and Sri Lankan forces have bolstered their capabilities and fostered a deeper strategic partnership in counter-terrorism endeavours”, the army added.
