Dalit and Adivasi Organization summon a “Bharat Bandh” today in response to SC’s verdict on Schedule Caste reservations. Jharkhand Mukti Mocha (JMM), Congress and Rastriya Janta Dal extends their support to the strike. The National Confederation of Dalit and Adivasi Organizations (NACDAOR) has opted for an opposing view to the Supreme Court’s verdict that according to the Dalits that does not go through the earlier established frame work for Indian reservation. “The recent verdict ordered by the Supreme Court on the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe reservations would prove to be an obstacle in the path of upliftment and strengthening of the SC/ST classes”, said JMM General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey. The party has called all its leaders, districts presidents, district coordinators and secretaries to join the 14 hours of nationwide strike.
