TWO CONSECUTIVE EARTHQUAKES TREMOR JK'S BARAMULLA DISTRICT

Two consecutive earthquakes shook Jammu Kashmir’s Baramulla
district with magnitude 4.9 and 4.8 in the Richter scale today morning. The first
earthquake occurred at around 6:45 a.m. at the depth of 5 k.m. followed by the
second 6:52 a.m. that occurred deep in 10 k.m., said National Centre of
Seismology. Most people came out of their houses as they felt the jolt although
no loss of life or earthly destruction has been reported.
